ICYMI, last week I shared an update about where we’re at with the fulfillment process by region. While most orders will be shipped by the end of May as planned, challenges with customs in Europe have caused some slight delays. As promised, I’ll be providing weekly status updates to keep you in the loop about where your pledges are (if you haven’t already received yours)!
To recap, all orders for the United States, Mexico, and South America have been shipped! If you live in one of these regions and have not received your package (or at least a tracking update from BackerKit), you can check the status of your pledge by signing into BackerKit and going to https://www.backerkit.com/c/users/pledges. For the rest of the world, here are your shipping status updates:
Canada, Africa, and Asia: We are still fulfilling orders, and they are on track to all be shipped by the end of May as planned.
Australia and New Zealand: Orders began shipping last week and are on track to be shipped by the end of May as planned.
UK: Our container is almost through customs 😮💨 After being stuck for two months, we’re excited to see some movement thanks to our friends at GamesQuest. At this pace, shipping your orders will carry into June. Once shipping begins, I’ll share more accurate timelines of when you can expect your pledge.

Rest of Europe: Orders have begun shipping from our partner’s warehouse!! There are a lot of you, so shipping will realistically carry into the first week of June. As a reminder, we had to remove plushie keychains from the shipment due to a classification error. Backers who had those in their pledge will be getting two shipments, one from Easyship’s Netherlands facility containing most of their pledge, and one from the US with any keychains orders.
Lastly, there are a few housekeeping items that I want to touch on before I go!
Sand & Wind Wooden Erosion Tokens
As many of you know, there was a slight misprint on the Kickstarter Exclusive wooden erosion tokens. If your order was impacted by this error, you should have received an email detailing a couple of solutions for us to make this right. In that email, there is also the option to wait to decide until you’ve received your order!
Many of you have already responded to the survey (thank you :D), but in the comments of our last Kickstarter Update we saw that some of you didn’t receive the email sent out April 9-10. Our first advice is always to check your spam folder, but if you’re still not seeing it, email [email protected] and let our team know!
The Order in Which We Ship Items
We’ve received quite a few questions from backers asking if the content of their order will affect when it is shipped out to them. I totally get it – seeing other people in your area get their pledges before you can be discouraging. To give you some insight into our process, most orders ship out around the same time! However, some add-ons arrived at the warehouse in a separate shipment. That means they had to wait until all parts of your order were delivered before they could send it out. Whether you only picked up the base game, or you went all in on the Ultimate Collector’s Set, the whole team (myself included) really appreciates your support <333

The final boss battle: Customs

Hello everyone!
The end of the fulfillment phase for this project is just over the horizon and our eyes are glued to the finish line, but as with any Kickstarter – there are a few final challenges we must first overcome (and fulfillment on this project has proven to be the most challenging we’ve ever faced due to some major hurdles we’ve faced with customs clearances and fulfillment partners). My goal with this update is to give you as much insight as possible into the current status of all orders across the entire project (and what has held us up).
Let’s start with the good news: we’ve officially finished shipping orders to backers in the United States, Mexico, and South America 🎉 If you live in one of these regions and have not received your package (or at least a tracking update from Backerkit), you can check the status of your pledge by signing into BackerKit and going to https://www.backerkit.com/c/users/pledges, or you can contact our team at [email protected].
For the rest of the world, here are status updates by region:
Canada, Africa, and Asia: We are still fulfilling orders, and they are on track to all be shipped by the end of May as planned.
Australia: Orders began shipping this week and are on track to all be shipped by the end of May as planned.
UK: Our container from China to the UK has been stuck at customs for two months, and our team has exhausted every contact in our rolodexes to get it cleared. We have finally found a solution after calling in some old friends (/true heroes 🥹) at GamesQuest, our fulfillment partner on past campaigns, and will be shifting fulfillment for UK pledges to them. We hope to have the containers cleared and to their UK hub by the end of this week, but shipping for UK orders will likely carry into June at this point as a result of these major delays. We are doing everything we possibly can to ensure these games are all delivered before the end of June.
Rest of Europe: We ran into some roadblocks with shipments getting stuck at customs for the rest of Europe as well, but they have officially made it to our distribution partner’s warehouse! If you’re in this region and waiting on your order, it should be making its way to you soon!* (More on these orders below)
The delays we’ve had with our EU/UK containers are the worst we’ve encountered. Every day has felt like we’re one piece of paperwork, one signature away from getting these items on the way, but then another new hurdle pops up. I kept waiting to post another update until there was something to say other than “we’re still stuck,” but in hindsight I wish I had given more information about what has been happening rather than always remaining optimistic that the problem was a day away from resolution over the course of several weeks.
*For our containers to the EU we had to remove all plushie keychains from the shipment due to a classification error, which took several weeks to coordinate. This was a miss on our part (and we have documented this lesson to ensure it doesn’t happen again in the future), but at this point we’ve resolved the issue fully. Backers who have those keychains in their pledge will be getting two shipments, one from Easyship’s Netherlands facility containing most of their pledge, and one from the US with any keychains ordered.
For our UK backers…all we can do at this point is apologize. We have done everything we know to keep these on the original schedule, but at this point it looks like we are going to fall about a week short of our promise to get everything out by the end of May. We’re doing the best we can to push these orders through, and we commit to providing more frequent (weekly) updates until every pledge has officially shipped.
In the last update, we had also mentioned a known misprint on the Kickstarter Exclusive wooden erosion tokens. If this error impacted your order, you should have received an email giving you a couple of solutions along with the option to wait to decide until you’ve received your order! Let us know if you should have received this email and didn’t so we can get you on the list. :D

Fulfillment Status Updates + Addressing your FAQs :D

Hello everyone 🙂
We are a bit over a month into fulfillment at this point, and I wanted to give you an update on where things stand so far! For this project we are utilizing multiple shipping partners, in addition to our own fulfillment facility, so I’m going to do my best in this update to give you clear information on what to expect based on your region. We have had a handful of challenges with vessels getting delayed on the water and containers moving through customs, but as of now, we still are on track to complete fulfillment before the end of June as originally outlined in our plans. If this changes, we will let you know in a future update!
United States- All of these are shipping out of our St. Louis facility, and we are flying through fulfillment with over 80% of orders shipped already! We expect to get the remaining orders out the door by the end of next week 🤩Note: your tracking notifications are sent from [email protected] with the subject line “Your items for Command of Nature have shipped!”. You can also sign up for notifications directly from FedEx here!
Mexico & South America- Orders are being fulfilled from our warehouse in St. Louis. We're currently on track to have all orders to these regions shipped around mid-April!
Canada, Asia, and Africa- Inventory has been received by our fulfillment partners as of this week, and fulfillment is set to start! If you live in one of these areas, you can expect to receive tracking for your order within the next 4-6 weeks :)
Europe (including UK), Australia, & New Zealand- These containers have experienced the longest delays, but we are finally seeing movement and our fulfillment partners are ready to start shipping orders as soon as they receive inventory. We anticipate fulfillment will start in a few weeks, but we still plan for all orders to be shipped out before the end of May. Stay tuned for more updates!
We’ve been keeping track of the questions we’ve received surrounding Command of Nature on social, via email, and here in Kickstarter, and there have been some trending FAQs that I’d like to take a moment to address:
My address has changed since addresses locked. Can I change it?
If you need to make any changes to your address you can still reach out to [email protected] to have it updated if your order has not been shipped out. Be sure to contact us as early as possible so we can get things edited before your package is mailed out!
I forgot to fill out the BackerKit survey. Will I still get my order?
If you forgot to fill out the BackerKit survey, you can still fill it out and get your pledge. Just keep in mind, add-ons are now closed and your order will be shipped out after the rest of the Kickstarter orders are complete.
You can quickly access your survey by doing the following:
Input the email address you use to log in to Kickstarter.
Check your inbox for an email from BackerKit to access your survey. From there, just follow the link to finalize your information!
Are the erosion wooden tokens supposed to have a 3 on the other side?
Our original intention was for these tokens to represent 1 erosion on one side and 3 erosion on the other, but we accidentally went into production with a version that shows 1 on both sides. While this doesn’t prevent them from being usable for gameplay, we don’t feel great about the fact that we didn’t deliver exactly what we originally meant to do- so we are going to provide a $5 add-on credit towards our next campaign (later this year??! 👀) for anyone who received these tokens as part of their pledge.
We will be sending an email out in the next week with more details about the $5 add-on credit to all affected backers!
The acrylic standees appear to be scratched. What should I do?
There is a very thin protective film on each side of the acrylic standees that should be removed! Peel that off and you should find a scratch-free standee underneath.
Where can I find the 1 Player, 3 Player, and 6 Player rule variations?
We debuted those rule sets in our last update! Check it out.
I’m a visual learner. Where can I find the How to Play video?
And speaking of streams…Jesse and Kristina from our team will be playing the Command of Nature: Sand & Wind Expansion LIVE on Twitch Wednesday, April 10th from 2PM-4PM CST. They will explain the mechanics introduced by the Sand & Wind Expansion, play a 1v1 game against each other, and end the stream with a Q&A session to answer your burning Command of Nature questions!

We started shipping Command of Nature!

Since our last update, Command of Nature has started arriving at our warehouse and distribution partners, and, as of today, we have officially started shipping out the first orders!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
That said, I want to establish realistic expectations for the fulfillment phase – we were extremely fortunate to have received such tremendous support during the Command of Nature campaign (from over 27,000 backers!)- but that means shipping out all of our orders will take us some time, with delivery times varying across regions. We expect to get to 100% fulfillment complete over the course of the next three months.

ADDRESS LOCKDOWN IN 48 HOURS (+FAQs)

Command of Nature production is almost complete and fulfillment is on the near horizon, which means it’s about time for us to lockdown shipping addresses. This update is a 48 HOUR ADDRESS LOCKDOWN WARNING! Now is the time to double check your address to make sure it's still correct in BackerKit, because addresses will officially lock on December 6th.
At this time around 1,632 backers have not filled out their surveys. If you don’t fill out the survey, we won’t know where to ship your pledge! If you submit your survey after addresses are locked down, your order will likely get delayed until after the promised shipping time window.
You can quickly access your survey by doing the following:

When will addresses be locked down?

How can I submit/view/edit my shipping information?
In order to receive your Command of Nature pledge by June 2024, you must submit your BackerKit survey no later than December 6, 2023. Backers who submit their surveys after Dec. 6 will get their pledges shipped after we fulfill our initial shipments.
Visit the Command of Nature BackerKit Page to submit your survey, view your answers, and make any edits to your address before the date above!
Can I still edit my pledge?
No, the pledge manager is closed. You can edit your address, but you are no longer able to add or remove any items.
Will the 2nd Edition Kickstarter Exclusives or Casting Shadows Molten Rock Expansion be delivered before Command of Nature ships?
No, all orders from this Kickstarter Campaign will be shipped out at the same time, even if you did not purchase a copy of Command of Nature!
When will you begin shipping orders?
We’re on track to begin shipping orders in February 2024 and finish by May 2024.
You should receive shipping updates to the email on file in BackerKit.
