It’s been a while! (I promise I didn’t forget about you)
Over the last few months we’ve had our heads down reviewing product samples, proofing files, and preparing for the next phase – production!!! The process was a bit more intensive than in previous campaigns because on top of the new game, we brought back a handful of Kickstarter Exclusives that underwent the same rounds of thorough proofing and sampling.
With that in mind, I’m thrilled to announce that production is officially underway, which means we’re one step closer to getting this project in your hands <333333

While I have you here, I want to talk about the upcoming address lockdown. To ensure that we get your orders to you on time, we will be locking down shipping addresses December 6, 2023. To double-check or edit your address, login to your BackerKit account and follow these steps! After December 6th, you will no longer be able to edit your address in BackerKit.
Note: If you know you're going to be changing your address but aren't sure what it is just yet, don't worry! You can still reach out to [email protected] after the lockdown date and give your address directly any time before the packages start to go out in February. Our team will make sure it gets updated for you.
To ensure you don’t miss the lockdown date, I’ll be posting a 48-hour warning update on December 4th! You’ll receive a reminder email from BackerKit as well.

YOU HAVE LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO SHOP THE BACKERKIT STORE!!!!
On Thursday, July 20th at 11:30 am CT, our BackerKit store will be closing, and 17% of backers have not filled out their surveys yet! After the store closes, you will not be able to purchase any of the 30+ add-ons or adjust your pledge level, so now is your chance!

BackerKit surveys have been out for a little over a week now and you all got right to work!! I’m thrilled to report that over 70% of you have already completed your surveys already, which is very very impressive👏
For everyone who hasn’t completed their survey, this is a friendly reminder that you cannot shop the add-ons store after July 20th when the BackerKit store closes! You will still be able to submit your survey and modify your shipping information, but you will miss out on the opportunity to adjust your pledge level or purchase add-ons.

Absolutely! After the BackerKit store closes, you will still be able to update your shipping information. When we get closer to fulfillment, we’ll post an update reminding you that we’re locking down shipping addresses. :D
When will my card be charged for items I purchased in BackerKit?
On July 20th when the BackerKit store closes.
I signed up for Kickstarter using my AppleID, how do I change my address and password?
If your Kickstarter account was created with your Apple ID, you will need to manage your Apple login credentials via the Apple ID settings on your mobile device, or from your Apple account.

BackerKit Surveys are LIVE!! (+a step-by-step walkthrough)

Hello everyone :)
TODAY IS THE DAY!!!! BackerKit surveys are officially en route to your email inboxes! We can only send out a few thousand surveys every hour, so we appreciate your patience as we roll those out over the next 24 hours. By Friday afternoon, every backer should have an email with a link to access their pledge and the add-ons store.
If you don't see one by Friday afternoon, please check your spam folder, and if it isn't there either (or you need help filling out the survey), email [email protected] and the team will assist you!
*We sent 5% of surveys out yesterday to a random sampling of backers to ensure everything is working properly, so if you received that email, don’t be alarmed. It is official and you can begin filling out your survey and shopping the BackerKit add-on store! If you experience any issues, please let us know.
We use this survey to collect your address so we can get your pledge to you! If you move anytime between now and the start of fulfillment, you will still be able to edit your shipping information. However, after July 20th, add-ons will no longer be available for purchase and no further changes can be made to your pledge level.
For former backers who also get an add-on credit, that means you'll lose your credit when surveys close too, so make sure to fill out your survey right away to use your credit!
If this is your first time backing a Kickstarter (or your first time backing a Kickstarter that utilizes BackerKit) here’s an overview of what you can expect:
Step 1: Click the Survey Link or Log into BackerKit
If you click the survey link we send to your email, it should take you to Step 3. By using this link, you do not need an account with BackerKit to fill out your survey.
If you don't get an email for whatever reason, you can also go to BackerKit's website directly and log in from there, using the email address associated with Kickstarter (this is how BackerKit knows you)!
Step 2: Go to the Command of Nature project in BackerKit
Once you've logged in to your BackerKit account, you can do this by selecting Command of Nature from your listed projects.
Step 3: Confirm Your Desired Pledge Level
On the next page, you can review your pledge level. If you'd like to change to a different pledge level, just click on the link under Your Pledge Level and you will be allowed to select a new one.
Once you've confirmed the pledge level you want (and your shipping destination), click the green "Get Started!" button to move to the next page.
If you selected the $1 tier and are only interested in the returning Kickstarter Exclusive games and accessories from previous campaigns (e.g. Unstable Unicorns: Control and Chaos), your screen will reflect the $1 tier and you will get to select those add-ons in Step 5.
Step 4: Answer the Pledge Question
On this page, select the 'Sounds good!' answer to the 'pledge question'
(we know this isn't really a question, but we had to put something) XD
Once you've done that, click the teal 'Next: Add-ons' button at the bottom to move on to the add-ons store.
Step 5: Select Your Add-Ons
This is where the fun begins – choosing your add-ons! On this page, you're going to see a store full of items that you can choose to add to your rewards.
Scroll through and check out all of the options! If you want something, all you have to do is click the 'Add to Cart' button below that particular item. Once you do, it will show up in your order summary on the right-hand side under 'Add-ons'.
If you added funds beyond those needed for your pledge level before the end of the Command of Nature campaign, you will see that money show up in green with text saying 'Credit Remaining' at the bottom of your order summary. Any add-ons you select will take money out of that credit amount. If your add-on items are more than the credit amount, you will see the difference needing to be paid displayed in the same summary.
Once you're happy with your selections, click the teal 'Next' button to move on to your shipping info. If you don't want any add-ons, just hit the 'Next' button without choosing any additional items.
Those of you who backed any of our previous Kickstarter Campaigns (Unstable Unicorns through Casting Shadows) should have a coupon code to use to get $10 off your add-ons. If you backed one of our other campaigns and do not see this credit, please email [email protected] immediately so we can fix that for you before the store closes!
Step 6: Enter Your Shipping Information
TELL US WHERE YOU LIVE! – no, really, tell us where you live so we can send all this stuff to you! Make sure you enter your address correctly here and be sure to double and triple-check it before moving on. If it's not right, it will be very hard for you to receive your items!
As a reminder, you’ll be able to edit your address on file in the coming months should you move in the time before fulfillment begins. We’ll post updates closer to that time letting you know when addresses are locked-in!
NOTE: If you live in a country that does not use the Roman alphabet as its main alphabet, please write your address in Roman characters (if you are able to). The system doesn't easily understand non-Roman characters, so it may make it difficult for us to get you everything safely and on time if addresses are not formatted in this way.
Once you've checked over your address and are sure it's right, click the teal 'Next' button to move on to the next step.
Step 7: Pay for Your Add-Ons + Shipping and Place Your Order
If you added on any items and you didn't have a credit already loaded in to cover their cost, this page is where you'll be asked to fill out your credit card info. You'll also be charged for shipping (+VAT, if applicable) at this stage.
NOTE: Your card will not be charged for these add-ons until the surveys close on July 20th, so if you don't see a charge right away, do not be alarmed! Because you have two weeks to make adjustments to your surveys, we don't charge you until that time frame has closed.
Please review your information for your order here one last time just to make absolutely sure that all is correct.
When you're done, click on the big green 'Place My Order' button.

Updates! Wooden Tokens, Questions Answered, & Surveys Coming Soon!

The team has spent the last couple of weeks continuing to develop and edit Command of Nature along with over 30 (!!!) add-ons, and there are some new developments I’d like to share with you!
Wooden Tokens
We've been getting a lot of questions related to wooden tokens for both the Sand & Wind expansion as well as Casting Shadows Molten Rock, and I'm excited to share our official answers!
- If you backed the Deluxe Bundle or Ultimate Collector's Set, you will get the Sand & Wind wooden tokens added automatically to your pledge!
- If you purchase the wooden token add-on, it will automatically include all the wooden tokens (106 altogether) rather than 64 for just the base game (for the same price!)
- If you get Casting Shadows Molten Rock, in addition to automatically getting the 2 shadow meeples for the new characters, you'll also automatically get wooden Scorch and Fortify tokens to go along with the game as well :D
Card Modifications
Your feedback is extremely important to us, and when we see a request or suggestion (big or small) we do our best to take it into consideration. With Command of Nature, there were a few callouts that were made within the campaign, and we made adjustments accordingly. Often we just do these behind the scenes, but since I was posting this update anyway, I thought it would be good to show some of the modifications we are making as we receive feedback to make the game better.
For starters, the former Toxic Viper, a KSE Elemental Warrior from the Leaf faction, has been renamed to Cobra King. Apparently, herpetology isn’t our strong suit 😅
In addition, we’ll be making a slight design edit to the card layouts by rounding out the edges of the symbols in the bottom corners for a sleeker appearance!
Balance Adjustments
As we continue play testing (across all 6 factions), we are continuing to make small adjustments to effects, gold costs, and more to make sure everything is balanced well and that we're incorporating all of the feedback we're receiving. We want to make sure all factions play well together, and I just wanted to mention this in case you notice slight changes on cards compared to what was shown on the campaign :) We're feeling very good about where the game is right now, and we're at the point where we're getting very nitpicky. We just want to make sure the end result is just right for when you play Command of Nature for the first time!
Q&A
While we’re here, I’d like to address a few questions we’ve received regarding the campaign and the BackerKit add-on store!
Q: When will I receive the BackerKit survey?
We will send out a few test surveys on July 5th, but most BackerKit surveys won't go out until Thursday, July 6th! We can only send a few thousand per hour, so please be patient throughout the day if you don't see yours right away. But if you don’t see the survey in your inbox by July 7th, check your spam folder! And if it’s not there either, email [email protected] and somebody from our team will be able to assist you :)
Q: How do I purchase add-ons?
Add-ons will be available once the BackerKit surveys go out! In the next couple of days, I’ll post a step-by-step guide showing you how to navigate the survey, shop the store, and get what you want!
Q: How long do I have to fill out my survey?
You will have two weeks to complete your survey, adjust your pledge, and shop the BackerKit store for add-ons! After two weeks, your pledge will be locked and your payment will be collected. If you don't fill out your survey within two weeks, you'll still be able to submit it to confirm your shipping information, but you will no longer be able to access any of the add-ons.
Q: When will my card be charged?
Your pledge will be locked and your card will be charged on July 20th!
Q: All of the Social Stretch Goals were unlocked! When can we expect to see the 1, 3, and 6 player rules?
Our games team is working on play testing and fine-tuning all three of these gameplay formats! We plan to deliver on these rules before fulfillment begins (but hopefully before the end of the year).
Q: Will there be more Twitch streams?
We’re planning on a few gameplay streams in the upcoming months to have fun and answer questions live with you all!
