We officially crossed $500k in under 48 hours!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
That, of course, means we unlocked our next stretch goal:
Each of these four new KSE Elemental Warriors represents a different faction and will be added to the Elemental Market in Command of Nature :)

Our team is doing all the things right now as fast as we possibly can. I wanted to pause for a second, take a breath, and let you know what you can expect in our next few updates (tomorrow and through the weekend):

Answers to a lot of the questions that are coming up frequently on the campaign (or at least a status update, which might be "we're not sure yet but we've at least seen this!")
A bit more about the world and characters in Command of Nature
For now though, I did want to address one thing that has come up (and also comes up on each of our other campaigns as well). Possibly the most frequent request we get is to bring back previous Kickstarter Exclusives from our prior campaigns. Every time we launch a project, I have the existential crisis about this again, because I know this is such a source of disappointment when we say no. But at the same time, we take our word on our campaigns extremely seriously, and while technically we'd still be keeping things Kickstarter Exclusive if we included them in another campaign, we've always felt like that might go against the spirit of the exclusivity of the original collector's items. Every single time this comes up, we have the debate again, and it's never easy.
And so we want to do something we've never done before about this specific topic, which is collect feedback from our former backers who were part of each of our original campaigns about how they feel on this issue. I don't want to promise that we will bring them back, but I want to open up the discussion. We put a lot of care into trying to make the right decisions in these situations, and this time we think it's best to hear directly from you instead of trying to decide on our own. If you're a former backer, you'll be getting an email from us later today to fill out a very quick survey to provide us with your notes, and you're also welcome to tell us what you think in the comments in this update as well. The team and I will be reading through every single comment we get and weighing perspectives really carefully. I realize I'm opening Pandora's box here by even bringing this up in this way, but I want you to know we've heard you and thought about this so many times, and we are looking for feedback and creative solutions that we haven't considered before that might be the best of both worlds.
For now, please don't take this as a promise- it is an invitation to conversation, and I have no idea which direction it will go at this point. We recognize we might've been too closed off in the past to these requests, but we still want to make sure we're standing by our word and the promises we've made (both explicitly and implicitly) to our former backers in each of our campaigns. But know that we're listening and we're doing our best <3

We are doing our best to keep up with all of the questions, requests, comments, and suggestions- the first few days of a campaign are always a whirlwind, but we are documenting everything that comes through the comments so that we can review it all carefully and assess what we can feasibly do. There is so much to coordinate behind the scenes to make sure everything goes smoothly, and we're doing our best to get you answers as fast as we can.

In typical fashion, I have been staring at my screen for the past two hours unable to look away while aggressively chomping through an entire bag of pastries (that our team had surprise delivered to my door today 10 minutes before we hit the launch button- you’re too good to me).
If you’ve backed one of our projects before, you might have (some) idea of what to expect. But if this is your first time, here are a few things to know:
You’ll get daily updates every day of the campaign (to the extent that I’m able) - these will include key information, upcoming stretch goals, photos of prototypes as we receive them, and my stream-of-consciousness ramblings (and probably other things too!)
All the content we unlock in stretch goals will be 100% Kickstarter Exclusive- that means it won’t ever be available, anywhere else, ever again. Ever, I said!
Our team, which includes members of the Unstable Games team as well as our Kickstarter Game Experts, will be in the comments throughout the campaign to collect and answer questions as fast as possible and to help me keep track of what needs to be widely shared in our updates. Please be kind to them- they are all lovely, wonderful people!
You'll see a few acronyms pretty frequently- in particular, KSE (Kickstarter Exclusive) and SG (Stretch Goal) - just calling these out now to prevent any confusion!
And with all of that said, welcome officially to the Command of Nature Kickstarter!
As of when I’m finishing this first update (which, full disclosure, I started an hour and a half into the campaign because I was so immersed in refreshing and reading the comments 👀), we are already over $250k and 2500 backers! And that means we’ve already unlocked our first three stretch goals:
We decided to do things a little bit differently for this campaign than we have in the past. Normally, we launch a game + a first expansion with our Kickstarter projects- but for this one, we decided to instead focus on more exclusive content for the Kickstarter Exclusive version of the game. Since this game is a deck-builder, we are adding multiple copies of certain cards to keep the game balanced as we add content- so when you see something like “2 new Kickstarter Exclusive Attack Commands (8 cards total)” as part of a stretch goal, that means 2 completely unique Kickstarter exclusive cards with new effects (which add 8 cards total to the game).
